ATX Mold Solutions was founded by Michael Herbst to provide independent, practical mold assessments backed by decades of real-world building and restoration experience.
Michael has worked in building construction and property restoration, helping homeowners, commercial property owners and restoration professionals solve complex moisture and mold challenges. His career has included leadership roles with some of the nation's largest restoration organizations, responding to major catastrophic events such as Hurricane Sandy and Hurricane Harvey, and developing operational standards for the restoration industry
As an IICRC Approved Instructor, Michael teaches Water Restoration Technician and Applied Structural Drying courses to restoration professionals nationwide. He also served on the IICRC Building Moisture Technical Advisory Committee, helping develop industry standards for identifying and evaluating moisture issues—the root cause of most mold problems.
