The process typically begins with a visual assessment and a discussion of the property’s history. Moisture-detection tools may be used to identify elevated moisture in building materials. Air or surface samples may also be collected when testing is appropriate. The exact scope depends on the property and the conditions observed.

The cost of a mold inspection depends on the property’s size, the areas being assessed, the complexity of the moisture issue and whether laboratory testing is needed. Not every visible mold condition requires sampling. In many cases, identifying the moisture source and determining the extent of affected materials are more important than simply confirming that mold exists. Testing recommendations should be based on the circumstances of the property.

No. ATX Mold Solutions operates exclusively as an independent Mold Assessment Consultant. We do not perform mold remediation.

Yes. We regularly work with property management companies, HOAs, commercial property owners and facility managers. We can coordinate directly with your management team, maintenance staff, contractors and other project stakeholders to keep communication clear throughout the assessment process.

If our assessment determines that remediation is necessary, we prepare a detailed Mold Remediation Protocol outlining the work that should be completed. Your chosen remediation contractor then carries out the work in accordance with that protocol, and we can return to perform post-remediation clearance once the project is complete.

Yes. Many of the properties we assess remain occupied during the inspection process. We work with property managers to minimize disruption wherever possible while completing a thorough investigation of the affected areas.
